Minimal Donor Scarring is achieved because doctors Hasson and Wong use the trichophytic closure technique of donor area closure. The donor area wound (at the back of the head) is trimmed and beveled which allows the upper edge of the wound to overlap the lower edge. Overlapping of the edges creates a more precise closure and allows grafts to grow through, thus further concealing what scarring there is.
